HAIR CARE HOLY GRAILS
Taking care of my hair is the most important part of my routine. Looking for products that will nurture, care and maintain the health of my hair. For the past few years I've been a pro-vegan products, using the ones without too much salt, chemicals and being cruelty-free. Nowadays there are tons of them available, however, you need to find the one that is for your exact hair type. I'm a black/dark brown straight hair, so what works for my mom a light brown/dark blonde wavy hair is not the same as mine.
First you have to study your hair, go to the salon and while getting a hair cut, ask them, which type of shampoo you may need. They see all types of hair everyday and have studied them, they know what they're talking about. One of my favorites hair stylist that I follow is Brad Mondo! Go to his YouTube channel, he has tons of helpful videos, from dying your hair to cutting it.
Afterwards, investigate the type of vegan products there are available. There are so many, Sephora has them, Ulta Beauty has them, Walmart and Target alike. Then, find the one that suits your hair the best, helps you keep texture, add volume, add glow and shine, make it grow faster, and just adds more life to it.
So for me the essentials for hair are:
Shampoo and Conditioner (Use products that are sulfate free, paraben-free, non-toxic, and with gentle and natural ingredients)
Hair Mask.
Hair Oils.
Silk Pillowcases or Night Caps (Or try to use very soft cotton if you don't want to change it).
Heat Protectant (They're even some specifically for Flat Iron, Hair Drier and Curl Iron).
Vitamins and Supplements.
Drink tons and tons of water.
Dry your hair with a microfiber towel.
Brush your hair, before you to bed and after you wake up.
