SUMMER TIPS

thegoldennoteblogo

The solstice is right around the corner and school is almost over, Summer is officially here! Even though it might not be the same for every country and the same as past years, we must make the best of it. Whether we celebrate in our backyards, be able to go to the beach or just continue to do activities in our houses; we must see a silver lightning in this time.

However, I live in a tropical country, so the weather is not helping my case in here. So this are my summer tips for those of you that currently have hot/warm weather or are going to the beach.

  • Sunscreen must be your BFF:

We all like getting a little tan from time to time, work on that beach waves and tan lines from the bikinis. However, too much sun is not good for you. According to science you must use an 80 to 100 level of sunscreen when you hit the beaches or are exposed too much to the sun. So if you would like a tan, get around a 25 or 30 level in your sunscreen, but still wear it.

  • Drink lots of water:

With the amount of heatwaves coming this summer and the fact that 80% of your body needs it, drink lots and lots of water. It helps clear you skin, good for a hangover and the fact that tumblers and water bottles are so cute, helps. I know what drinking 8 glasses of water a day, may seem a goal too far to reach, but when you drink over 3 Venti Cups of water, you're almost there.

  • Lip balm or clear gloss:

Getting cute and awesome pictures while on the beach, is a must nowadays, but be careful with cracked lips. You don't want that in your picture and neither do I, so get a clear gloss that doesn't stick or feels heavy for the day; or you could have lip balms on the go in your handbag. Some people also use a little Vaseline in their lips, and it helps. So just care for your lips as much as possible.

  • Prime and moisturize:

Whether you use them in the same product, or prefer to do it separately, which is what I do, use both of this items. Sometimes you might think that it's too much, you prime, add moisturizer, add the oil and blend it all; yet in hot weathers or extremely cool climates, you need them all. The primer helps to absorbe your foundation and the moisturizer helps your skin look fresh. So when you to get ready for the beach, remember this two items.

  • Hats and too large sunglasses:

The fact that hats have never been out of fashion, tells you how much they're needed in these occasions. Large hats are so in right now, protect your face and your neck, while looking vintage and on point. Moreover, large sunglasses are taking over the social media. Whether from Louis Vuitton or Ray Ban, most celebrities are using them right now, and it's not to look just pretty, they do help a lot to protect your eyesight.

So there you go! These are my top 5 tips for summer, for the time being I'm not able to go to the beach, yet that doesn't stop me from getting a pool in the backyard. I hope you liked the tips and adjust them to your likings, I've lived in a tropical country my entire life, and the summers I use this tips to try to fight the extreme heat waves. So enjoy the rest of your summer, practice some sport, read a good book and stay tuned for future posts, coming soon.

Love, Becks
